Purchasing anything from this website constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions.

prices

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST. The prices of products and shipping and handling on this website are correct at time of issue but may change at any time without notice and are subject to availability.

payment

We accept payments via Direct Deposit (EFT) or credit card (fees apply). If you choose EFT full payment needs to be transferred within 24 hours or your order will be cancelled. All services require 100% pre-payment.

refund policy

All sales are final. If something happens your puppy and you can no longer attend class a credit note will be issued if you notify us a minimum of 72hrs beforehand.

 


courses, lessons, daycare and boarding

1. enrollment

Age Requirements:
Puppy school: 8-16 weeks old
One-on-one lessons: 8-20 weeks old
Premium daycare: 8wks – 6 months old
Boarding: 8wks – 6 months old
Board & train: 8wks – 6 months old
Post surgery recovery care: 8wks – 6 months old

Vaccinations:
Puppies need to have had their first vaccination a minimum of eight days prior to avail of any of our services and must show proof of vaccination before attending. Puppies showing signs of illness will not be permitted to attend until they have been cleared by a vet.

VIP upgrades:
If you purchase a VIP upgrade when booking your puppy school course, the BioThane long line is 10m, black and stainless steel, and the Ruthless Photos photoshoot needs to be scheduled to take place a maximum of 8 wks after the course start date. Weekday and weekend slots are available but subject to availability. The fine art print is your image is your favourite from the shoot, printed 5×7″ and mounted in a white 8×10″ matt. Other images/artworks can be purchased separately.

 

2. cancellations and rescheduling

Course Cancellations:
pupstarts reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Participant Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your enrollment, you must notify us at least 72 hours before the course start date. A credit note will be issued and you can either transfer your booking to another puppy owner or you can reschedule.

Missed Classes:
If a class is missed due to illness a make-up session may be offered at the discretion of the school, subject to availability.

 

3. health and safety

Health Certification:
Owners must certify that their puppy is healthy and free from contagious diseases or parasites.

Injuries:
pupstarts is not responsible for any injuries or illnesses that occur to humans or puppies while on the premises. In the event of injury at daycare or while boarding, pupstarts will administer basic first aid and notify the owner immediately. If the injury requires veterinary attention the daycare will seek medical care and the owner will be responsible for any associated costs.

Medical Care Authorisation:
The owner authorises pupstarts to seek veterinary care in the event of an emergency. The owner agrees to assume all costs for any necessary treatment.

 

4. behaviour and participation

Owner’s Responsibility:
Owners are expected to actively participate in the training sessions and follow the instructor’s guidance. Training success is dependent on consistent practice outside of class.

Equipment:
Owners must bring a leash, collar/harness, and any other necessary training equipment to each session. The School may recommend specific types of equipment.

Disruptive Behavior:
If a puppy or owner’s behaviour excessively disrupts the class, the instructor may ask them to leave the session. pupstarts reserves the right to permanently remove disruptive participants with no refund.

Damage to Property:
The owner will be responsible for any major damage caused by their puppy to the daycare’s property or equipment.

 

5. liability waiver

Assumption of Risk:
By enrolling in the course, owners acknowledge that puppy training involves risks, including potential injuries or illnesses. Owners voluntarily assume all such risks.

Release of Liability:
pupstarts are not liable for any injuries, illnesses or damages that occur during the course. Owners are responsible for the behaviour and safety of their own puppy.

Gifted Toys:
We love to gift our clients toys for their puppy! Please note, while we strive to provide safe and enjoyable toys, pupstarts is not responsible for any injuries, accidents or damages that may occur as a result of using this toy. It is the owner’s responsibility to supervise their puppy while using the toy and ensure it is appropriate for their pet. Please inspect the toy regularly for wear and tear, and discontinue use if it becomes damaged.

 

6. photography and media

Media Consent:
Owners agree that pupstarts may take photos or videos of their puppy which may be used for promotional purposes on websites, social media or marketing materials.

 

7. course completion and certification

Attendance:
Participants must attend a minimum of four sessions to qualify for course completion.

Certificate of Completion:
Upon successful completion of the course, owners will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate does not imply certification as a professional trainer but recognises the completion of the course curriculum.

 

8. code of conduct

Respect for Others:
All participants are expected to treat instructors, other owners and puppies with respect. Inappropriate behaviour will result in removal from the course with no refund.

Cleanliness:
Owners must clean up after their puppies and ensure the training area is kept clean and free from waste.

 

9. daycare and boarding services

Hours of Operation:
Daycare operates from 8am-5pm on weekdays (excl. public holidays). Puppies must be dropped off between 8am and 9am and picked up no later than 5pm. Late pick-up fees will apply after this time.

Late Pick-Up Fees:
A late pick-up fee of $50 will be charged for every 10 minutes beyond the scheduled pick-up time.

Boarding:
If a puppy is picked up earlier than the agreed-upon date, no refund will be issued for the unused boarding days.

 

10. food, medications and personal belongings

Food:
Owners must provide food for their puppy for the length of their boarding stay (or if they will be fed during daycare hours).

Medications:
Any medications must be clearly labeled with instructions and provided in the original packaging. pupstarts is not liable for any adverse reactions to medications administered.

Personal Belongings:
pupstarts is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings (e.g., toys, bedding).

 

11. emergency procedures

Emergency Contact:
Owners must provide up-to-date emergency contact information. In case of an emergency where the owner cannot be reached, the daycare will seek veterinary care at the owner’s expense.

Evacuation Procedures:
In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation, pupstarts will make every effort to contact the owner and provide updates.


 

Agreement:
By engaging any pupstarts services you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
