are you insured?
Yes, pupstarts is fully insured.
how many vaccinations does my puppy need to have had?
Puppies only need to have had their first vaccination a minimum of eight days prior to avail of any of our services.
where do puppy school classes take place?
Puppy School is held at the sterile Ruthless Photos studio in Alexandria. The address and directions will be supplied once your booking is confirmed.
where do one-on-one lessons take place?
One-on-one lessons are held at the client’s home. Areas serviced are within a 15km radius of Matraville. Other areas will be considered but travel rates and tolls (if applicable) will apply.
where does premium daycare take place?
Premium daycare will be held either at the Alexandria location or at Ruth’s home in Matraville.
where do boarding / board & train puppies stay at night?
Puppies who are doing overnight boarding and/or board & train will live at Ruth’s home in Matraville but may spend some time at the Alexandria location during the day.
what age does my puppy need to be?
Puppy school: 8-16 weeks old
One-on-one lessons: 8 weeks – 5 months old
Premium daycare: 8wks – 6 months old
Boarding: 8wks – 6 months old
Board & train: 8wks – 6 months old
do we receive updates?
Yes, daycare and boarding clients will receive daily updates.
can we access services once my dog isn't a puppy any more?
We may be able to continue to offer daycare and boarding services to existing clients after they turn 6 months of age. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
how many puppies do you take at a time?
Puppy School: up to 10 per class
Premium Daycare: maximum of 6 per day
Boarding / Board & Train: no more than two at a time
Post surgery recovery care: one patient
are your services only for staffy types?
It’s no secret that boofheads are my specialty but I love all breeds so everyone is welcome.
will your adult dogs interact with my puppy?
Puppy School: no
One-on-one lessons: no
Post surgery recovery care: no
Premium Daycare / Boarding / Board & Train: That’s entirely your call, we’re set-up to keep everyone separate. My dogs have fostered several puppies and are very good with them (even the jerk puppies that treated them like chew toys!) so you have no cause for concern about your pup’s safety. There are a number of highlight reels on their Instagram account if you’d like to see how they interact with foster pups.
